Dr David Norcross became the principal dentist at Kelmscott Dental in 2011. Prior to joining our practice, he spent five years in a general practice in England before eventually relocating to Australia. He has extensive experience in many areas of dentistry, such as general, advanced restorative, cosmetic and implant dentistry. Dr Norcross also has a keen interest in the safe removal of mercury amalgam fillings.
Dr Norcross graduated from Leeds University (England) in 2006, being awarded with a Bachelor of Dental Science. He remains up-to-date with the latest dental techniques, technologies and developments through post graduate education. In 2009, he completed an Advanced Restorative Course at the North of England Dental Academy. Following this, he completed a year-long modular course in Implant Dentistry accredited by the British Academy of Dental Implantology in 2010. More recently in 2013, Dr Norcross completed his Master Clinician in Implant Dentistry Programme gaining certificates from the Global Institute for Dental Education (gIDE) and UCLA.
Dr Norcross is a lecturer and mentor for MIS Implants and the Dental Implantology Academy (DIA). He delivers several dental implant training courses and live surgery demonstrations every year for new and emerging dentists, and places an average of 300 dental implants each year. He has spent time at the Malo Clinic in Melbourne learning about the advances in full arch rehabilitation using the All-on-4® technique, and is a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and Australian Society of Implant Dentistry.
Extensive training, skills and passion for implant dentistry, coupled with positive patient outcomes has earned Dr Norcross a favourable reputation as one of Perth’s best dentists placing implants.
Priding himself on his gentle approach and excellent patient manner, David is skilled in dealing with even the most nervous dental patients. He wants to make coming to the dentist the most comfortable experience it can be, for every patient he sees. Dr Norcross works closely with Dr Christine Troy FRACGP offering all forms of dentistry under intravenous sedation. This includes simple and complex dental care for very nervous patients and the extraction of impacted wisdom teeth.
