If you have many missing, decayed or badly damaged teeth, or you find dentures intolerable, you might be interested in full mouth dental implants - also known as All-on-4® dental implants.
The conventional way to place full mouth dental implants was to place an implant for each tooth. This type of surgery was often performed with bone grafting before the patient waited six months for their mouth to heal and have their teeth fitted. Nowadays, full arch dental implant surgery involves using four to six specially configured dental implants to support a fixed bridge that can be fitted within 24 hours of surgery. This advanced surgical technique is less invasive, less costly and reduces the need for bone grafting. It is backed by 20 years of documented research showing success rates of up to 98%.
The cost of full arch dental implants (All-on-4®) at Perth Dental Implant Centre starts from $17,250 per arch. Read on to find out about prices, what's included and what other costs to expect.

Am I suitable?
Most people who have a healthy and sufficient jawbone may be suitable candidates for full mouth dental implants. However, your eligibility could depend on factors such as:
- lifestyle factors such as smoking and excessive alcohol, that can affect treatment success.
- existing oral health conditions (such as gum disease)
- certain medical conditions and medications that can affect the healing process
Booking a consultation and 3D scan is the best way to determine your suitability for treatment.
Full arch dental implant (All-on-4®) treatment process

Unlike standard dental implants, which involve a waiting period of up to six months while the implants bond with the jaw, full arch surgery allows us to give you a new set of teeth within 24 hours.
1. Consultation and 3D smile planning

Your initial consultation is an important step, as this is where you can learn more about what treatment involves and whether it's the most suitable option for your needs. During your consultation, we'll discuss your goals and expectations, examine your mouth, and take clinical photographs, x-rays and a 3D bone scan to help us plan your treatment.
Prior to treatment, we’ll take pre-surgery digital records using an intra-oral scanner and you’ll meet with our dental technician to decide the shape and shade of your new teeth.
We offer free implant consult and scans for new clients to Perth Dental Implant Centre. Book your visit today to see if implants are right for you.
2. Implant placement & immediate teeth

Your dental surgeon will carefully place your implants in one or both of your jaws and attach the abutments before stitching your gums closed.
We'll take digital impressions of your mouth that will be used to design your custom-milled PMMA (acrylic) bridge, then your dentist will place healing caps over the implants. We carefully assess your bite and record any refinements needed for your bridge that is fitted the next day.
If you have any remaining teeth, these are extracted on the same day that your implants are placed.
Advanced full arch implant techniques using pterygoid or zygomatic implants can avoid the need for a bone grafting procedure (which is sometimes performed to build up the jawbone to anchor implants in place). These longer implants are placed at the same time as standard dental implants.
If you require longer implants to help support a bridge, your dentist will recommend this treatment approach during your consultation.

Full arch dental implants (All-on-4®) and abutments placed during surgery are Nobel Biocare or Southern Implants.
3. Healing & guided reviews

We'll arrange follow-up appointments with your dentist two weeks after your surgery and again at four weeks to assess your bite, speech and to check how the implants are healing. We will also assess your oral health and answer any questions you may have about your recovery.
4. Crafting your long-term teeth

With every full-arch implant treatment, an custom-milled PMMA (acrylic) bridge is fitted within 24 hours of surgery—so you can leave with a functional, natural-looking smile.
You may choose to upgrade to your long-term bridge between three to four months after surgery, alternatively if you chose our Revive Essentials package, you may choose to keep your bridge for longer. Custom-milled PMMA (acrylic) bridges typically last between one to two years before needing to be replaced.
- Revive Basics includes an initial custom-milled PMMA (acrylic) bridge (Replacement bridges are additional)
- Revive Essentials and Revive Advanced packages include both an initial custom-milled PMMA (acrylic) bridge and replacement zirconia bridge as part of your long-term treatment plan.
When you’re ready to replace your custom-milled PMMA (acrylic) bridge with your long-term bridge, we take precise digital scans and work closely with our laboratory technician to design your ceramic bridge.
Using advanced technology, we refine the shape, shade and fit to complement your facial features, smile and bite—delivering a natural, balanced result.
5. Ongoing care & maintenance

You’ll attend ongoing maintenance appointments every 6 to 12 months and have x-rays taken every 12 to 24 months to check your jawbone health. This allows us to professionally maintain your smile, and support your long-term oral health.
In between dental visits, you’ll be required to maintain a good oral hygiene routine at home to keep your mouth and implants healthy and free from gum disease. This involves brushing twice a day and flossing once a day with a water flosser or other flossing device. Avoiding smoking, consuming a healthy diet and reduced sugar intake are also strongly recommended to help maintain your new smile.
What are the prices?
The cost of full mouth dental implants (including All-on-4®) varies depending on your clinical needs, bridge materials, and long-term goals. Treatment costs, ongoing maintenance costs and bridge repairs and replacements contribute to the overall cost of treatment and should be factored in when deciding on treatment.

Additional costs

Additional costs for full arch dental implant treatment may include one or more of the following depending on your individual needs:
- Extractions
- Sedation/ general anaesthesia
- Hospital fees (if appliable)
- Ongoing hygiene maintenance appointments (every six months)
- Bone grafting (if required)
- Muscle relaxant therapy (if required)
Some costs may be partially covered by private health insurance if you have hospital cover and dental extras (depending on your policy inclusions, waiting periods and yearly limits). An out-of-pocket hospital excess may apply (approximately $500).
If you do not have private health insurance and choose to have treatment under IV sedation at the clinic instead, anaesthetist costs apply. Anaesthetist fees may be partially covered by Medicare and range from approximately $2,370 - $2,760.
Long-term maintenance
There are ongoing maintenance costs to consider when you choose full mouth dental implants. These include:
- Bridge replacements
- Bridge repairs (as needed)
- Regular check-ups and oral hygiene treatments (recommended every 6-12 months)
- X-rays (recommended every 12-24 months to check bone health around implants)
Regular dental check-ups, x-rays and maintenance may be covered by partially private health insurance, if your policy includes dental extras.
Bridge replacement costs

- Custom-milled PMMA (acrylic) replacement: $2,000 per arch or $3,500 for both
- Zirconia replacement: $10,500 per arch
While the implants themselves can normally last a lifetime, and won't need to be replaced, a bridge will need to be replaced after a number of years, due to normal wear and tear or damage. How long your bridge will last depends on the material it's made from and how well it's cared for.
