Sometimes we may remove the tooth and wait 2-3 months before placing a dental implant. Other times, we will remove a tooth, place a bone graft material to preserve the bone, then wait longer to place the dental implant. In some cases, we may even be able to place the dental implant at the same time we remove the tooth.
