Why is All-on-4® a Cost-Effective Solution?

Although the initial cost of All-on-4® dental implants may seem higher than other alternatives, many clients consider them a cost-effective solution in the long run. Here’s why:
- Fewer Implants Required: Instead of needing individual implants for each tooth, All-on-4® uses only four implants per arch, significantly reducing the cost compared to the conventional method of full arch treatment.
- Permanent Solution: With proper care, titanium implants can last a lifetime, you’ll only need to replace the teeth attached to implants over time.
- Shorter Treatment Time: All-on-4® implants are placed in a single procedure reducing the overall time spent in the dentist’s chair and multiple surgeries. A typical appointment schedule could look like this:
- Surgery on day one
- Custom-milled PMMA (acrylic) teeth fitted day two
- Zirconia teeth after three months (or keep your custom-milled PMMA (acrylic) bridge for one to two years)

Can I get cheaper All-on-4® implants overseas?
It’s not recommended to have complex procedures such as All-on-4® dental implants overseas, as the risks involved are higher and the quality of materials may be lower. At Perth Dental Implant Centre, we partner with flexible payment plan providers that could help to make the cost of implants easier to manage.
Our dentists regularly receive patient referrals to 'correct' full arch implant treatment that has been poorly performed overseas. Read more about it here, or in our blog Are Overseas Dental Implants Safe?
7 Reasons to avoid overseas dental work:
- Lower standard of care
- Lower implant system quality
- Cultural barriers leading to miscommunication
- Rushed treatment
- Lower hygiene standards
- Higher risk of complications
- No legal recourse if things go wrong
-
Are All-on-4® dental implants covered by warranty?
Yes. At Perth Dental Implant Centre, our products all have warranties:
- Titanium dental implants are covered by a 10-year warranty
- Custom-milled PMMA (acrylic) fixed full arch bridges are covered by a 12-month warranty
- Zirconia fixed full arch bridges are covered by a 5-year warranty
All warranties are subject to attending scheduled review appointments and routine oral health check-up and cleans every 6-12 months.

What is All-on-4®?
All-on-4® is a full-arch dental implant treatment used to replace all missing or failing teeth in the upper or lower jaw. Rather than replacing each tooth individually, a complete bridge of teeth is supported by four strategically placed dental implants.
The technique was developed by Nobel Biocare and involves placing two implants towards the front of the jaw and two implants towards the back at an angle. This approach can often maximise the use of available bone and may reduce or eliminate the need for bone grafting in suitable patients.
All-on-4® has become one of the most widely used full-mouth dental implant solutions worldwide and has demonstrated high long-term success rates of up to 98% in clinical studies*.
The term All-on-4® is a registered trademark of Nobel Biocare and specifically refers to the treatment concept when used with Nobel Biocare implants.
Today, many clinicians use similar treatment protocols with four, five, six or more implants depending on the patient's anatomy, bone quality and treatment goals. As a result, you may also hear terms such as All-on-X, which refers more broadly to full-arch dental implant treatment supported by a customised number of implants.
For patients requiring full-mouth rehabilitation, the number of implants used is less important than selecting the treatment approach best suited to their individual needs.
